Based: Hybrid.
Area: Sheffield.
Hours: 20 hours per week.
Salary: £14.50 plus mileage, pension.
Contract: Part Time/Permanent.
Transport: Access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

Due to growth within the business, CPC Civils Ltd are looking for a part time Social Value Advisor to join the team. Focusing on high profile projects across multiple sectors, the ideal candidate will be covering projects in the North.

CPC Civils are a family-owned heavy civils contractor, primarily working in the waterways and water infrastructure sectors.

We work across many frameworks as a Principal Contractor in the Water utilities industry, District Heating, Environment Agency and Canal and River Trust to name a few.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Social Value Advisor is a valuable part of our business and has a focus on day-to-day engagement with community organisations and delivery against project targets.

Working closely and reporting to the CSR Lead, the Social Value Advisor will support in the delivery and reporting of Social Value activities for the business.

You will:

Manage a caseload of live projects, working with site teams to ensure that social value is being delivered in line with bid and client commitments.

Coordinate activities, including work experience, site visits, engaging with local community groups, school workshops, careers fairs, liaising with internal and external stakeholders where applicable.

Develop & maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. (schools/colleges/3rd sector organisations/clients).

Produce case studies for evidence and reporting purposes.

Regular reporting of progress against commitments to internal and external stakeholders.

Work with HR and L&D Departments to assist and facilitate Apprentice Recruitment Events.

Represent CPC Civils Ltd on local committees and focus groups.

Attend and promote CPC Civil Ltd at employment and careers events across the region.

Work with the CSR Lead to identify the social impact in our areas of work.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Computer literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • A team player who is confident, self driven with a strong work ethic.
  • A good knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion with an ability to promote EDI as part of our community engagement.
